Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse charged from row five and passed Seymour’s Jamie Schmidt for the lead with two laps remaining to win the 20 lap IMCA modified feature at Seymour Speedway Sunday night. With the win LaCrosse successfully defended his division title.
A total of 97 cars showed up to race, including 18 IMCA modifieds, 22 stock cars, 20 northern sportmods, 19 street stocks and 18 4 bangers.
Schmidt took second at the pay window, followed by Seymour’s Brian Mullen, Pulaski’s Jason Czarapata and New London’s Mike Wedelstadt.
Pulaski’s Devin Snellenberger passed Gillett’s Kyle Frederick with three laps to go to win his first 20 lap IMCA stock car feature of the season. Snellenberger’s father “Hot Rod” Snellenberger was absent, as he missed the weekend of racing due to a medical procedure that prevented him from racing.
Seymour’s Shawn Wagner, who already wrapped the track championship a week ago, stormed through the field from the 11th row into third with three laps to go. Wagner snuck past Frederick for second on lap 18 but could not pull off the pass for the win and settled for second. Frederick took third, followed by Pulaski’s Junior Karcz and Bowler’s Greg Gutt.

Wagner Captures IMCA Stock Car Track Title
Pulaski’s Rod Snellenberger scored a thrilling last lap pass on Seymour’s Shawn Wagner to capture the 20 lap IMCA stock car feature at Seymour Speedway. The win was Snellenberger’s 21st on area ovals this season.
By virtue of his second place finish, Wagner earned enough points to secure the IMCA stock car points championship.
Seymour’s Jerry Wilinski won his first, caution free, 20 lap IMCA modified feature. Oconto’s Jeremy Cota fought off points leader Johnny Whitman right down to the wire to collect his first 20 lap IMCA northern sportmod feature of the season.

Hometown ace Brian Mullen of Seymour slipped by Greenville’s Travis Spaulding with two laps remaining to win the green-to-checkered, 20 lap IMCA modified feature at Seymour Speedway Sunday night. With his heat win earlier Mullen netted a sweep for the night.
A total of 109 cars showed up to race, including 19 IMCA modifieds, 26 stock cars, 23 northern sportmods, 19 street stocks and 22 4 bangers.
Spaulding appeared headed to victory early on, as he shot into the lead at the drop of the green. Mullen, who started in row six, carefully picked his way through the field, taking second at the event’s halfway point. Mullen committed to the high side, while Spaulding kept his racer down low. Mullen mixed it up both high and low and finally pulled off the pass on lap 18. Mullen hung on for the win, with Spaulding posting a second place finish. Luxemburg’s Benji LaCrosse, Green Bay’s Chris Engels and Seymour’s Mike Mullen rounded out the top five finishes.
