Seymour, April 19 – The Seymour Speedway kicked off their 32nd season on a smooth fast 1/3 mile banked clay oval Sunday night.

Prior to the start of the night, N.E.W. DIRT presented Rod Snellenberger with a plaque commemorating his 200th career IMCA Stock Car feature victory the week before.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds took to the track first with Mike Mullen drawing the outside pole and beat pole sitter Jerry Wilinski to the lead at the start.   Mullen pulled away from the field until a lap 9 caution bunched the field with Wilinski  still holding the runner up spot over Eric Scribner, Tyler Hackett, Chad Bartel and Marcus Yarie.   Mullen again pulled away on the restart with Scribner taking the second spot followed by Wilinski, Bartel, Brad Lautenbach and Jamie Schmidt.

A final caution on lap 16 set up a 4 lap dash.   Mullen was still in control and led the way to the finish with Lautenbach taking the runner finish.  Yarie took third with Bartel, Schmidt and T.J., Smith.

The Coor’s Light IMCA Stock Cars were up next with Mike Schmidt grabbing the lead at the start followed by Travis Van Straten, Vern Stedjee, Rod Snellenberger and Chas Van Ooyen.   A lone caution slowed the race on lap 3 and Van Straten pulled into the lead on the restart with Schmidt, Kyle Frederick, Stedjee, Snellenberger, Van Ooyen and Harley Simon bunched together behind.   The lead pack stayed bunched for the rest of the race with Van Straten able to hold the lead to pick up his first Seymour feature win of the season and second for the weekend, having won at Shawano the night before.  Frederick took the runner up spot with Snellenberger taking third.  Schmidt finished 4th with Van Ooyen and Stedjee  rounding out the top six.

The O’Reilly Auto Parts IMCA Sport Mods were up next with defending track champion, Jeremy Cota drawing the front row and settled into the elad at the start followe by JJ Anderson,Kevin Bethke, Logan Fleischman, Bruce Beland and Scott Besaw.   Ludcas Lamberies moved up with the lead pack by lap 5 and for the rest of the non stop race, the top five ran together.    Cota held off all challenges to claim his second feature win of the young season with Anderson holding off Lamberies for the runner up spot.   Bethke  took 4th over  Beland with Travis Arenz rounding out the six.

Last weeks feature winner, Jeff Jungwirth drew the pole for the TURBO Blue Street Stock feature event and wasted no time taking the top spot with Lexii Ashcraft, Paul Ambrosius, Alan Schleuter and George Tabalske  following. Ashcraft  stayed with Jungwirth over the first half of the contest but Schleuter, Ryan Blank, Jeff Dorschner and Ambrosius were bunched right behind and after the mid point, Jungwirth was able to open a slight lead.

The lead pack stayed the same to the finish with Jungwirth able to claim his second straight feature win of the season.  Ashcraft held control of the runner up spot despite heavu pressure from behind.  Blank came front the rear of the field and grabbed third.  Dorschner, Schleuter and Ambrosius took the top six positions.

The 4 Cylinder main saw Mike Meier grab the lead at the start and despit making his first visit to the track, did an excellent job controlling the pace.   Tyler Hungerford and Kasey Gross challenged for the leads early with Carl King  joining the leader on lap 6.    The top 3 stayed together to the finish with Meier claiming his first ever Seymour feature win.    King took secons wiuth Hungerford in third.  Gross was douth  with Tanner Westphal and Skyler Bork rounding out the top six.

Brandon Van Ooyen was the lone Thunder Truck that checked in but was able to take a few laps to show off the new division.
