Finally, the sun is shining and it looks like it will be the best and driest day for a full 5 divisiion program tonight on the 1/3 mile banked oval at the Seymour Speedway.
Tonight is the final point night for the IMCA Divisions.
BUDWEISER IMCA MODIFIEDS 2 time and defending champion, Benji LaCrosse took over the point lead a couple weeks ago and holds a slim 2 point lead over former 6 time champ, Brian Mullen. LaCrosse won the opening night feature back in May and Mullen has picked up 2 this season.
IMCA STOCK CAR Shawn Wagner is looking to lock up his first career division title. He is a former 1998 Street Stock champ and the 1999 Stock Car Rookie of the year. He has 2 feature wins this season and holds a 7 point margin over former 2 time champ, Jeremy Christians.
IMCA SPORT MOD Travis Van Straten holds a solid 27 point margin over Rod Solem and defending champion, Tim Jorgenson who are tied for second place. Van Straten was the Street Stock Rookie of the year in 1998 and is looking for his first career N.E.W. DIRT track title.
The Street Stock and 4 Cylinder divisions will complete their point seasons next week during the final leg of the Summer Holiday Classic series featureing the WDLMA Late Models. Next week will also be the final race of the 2009 season at the Seymour Speedway.
