Seymour IRA go washed out

Seymour, August 2 – The stage was set for a fantastic night of racing Sunday at the Seymour Speedway but Mother Nature sent 2 brief, very heavy, white out showers over a 15 minute period Sunday afternoon, forcing track and IRA officials to cancel the scheduled program.

Storms moved north and east all day and the southern edge caught the track at 3:45 ending hopes to get the program in.   Along with the five regular divisions, the lone appearance of the IRA Sprint Cars this season, all was lost.     There are no available dates to re-schedule the event for this year, but officials held a meeting at the track to discuss options for 2016.

This coming Sunday, August 9, Kelsey Coatings and 1st Choice Auto Sales will sponsor the racing program.     It will be a big night for the Kids Club with the Coin Toss on the track at intermission.

All five divisions will be in action along with the Thunder Trucks.

Racing will get underway at 6 PM.
