Late Models Return To Seymour Super Speedway

This Sunday Night May 27th, Late Models return to Seymour Super Speedway. The regular five divisions will also be in action for a regular point night. Victory Sign will be the headlining sponsor. Racing gets started at 6 p.m.

This is the second time the Late Models have seen Seymour in 2012. The Late Models also ran at the April 1st Spring Thaw. Picking up the win was Jim Schmidt from Cleveland, WI. Schmidt was able to outlast a hard charging Nick Anvelink.

Eric Arneson captured his second win of the weekend last Sunday in the IMCA Modifieds. An impressive last two weeks has saw Arneson in victory lane 3 times in his inaugural season. Mike Mullen lowered the gap on Jason Czarapata last week in the standings; beating him by one position. Mullen trails Czarapata by 9 points.

Brandon Czarapata will be shooting for 3 feature wins in a row in the IMCA Stockcar division. Czarapata has 4 wins on the season at the speedway, one was the Spring Thaw. Czarapata has a commanding 16 point lead over Shawn Wagner after the first month of points racing.

Jake Solin won his first career IMCA Northern Sportmod feature at Seymour last week. He made the long trip from White Lake a successful one. The top 5 in the standing are separated by a mere 6 points. Jeremy Cota is in search of his first career championship.

Gary Kasperek has remained perfect on the season winning 4 consecutive features. The Street Stock standings have Kasperek leading Phil Hiles by 9 marks.

Calvin Stueck won a dominating 4 Cylinder main event last week. Although Stueck won last weeks battle; Jeff Behm is ahead in the standings war by 10 points.

Points Season Starts at Seymour Super Speedway

This Sunday April 22nd points racing will get underway to crown the 2012 Champions.

All five regular divisions will be in action including The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stockcars, IMCA Northern Sportmods, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinders.

Racing will get underway at 5 p.m. starting this Sunday all the way until May 27th, which is The first Summer Holiday classic. Racing will then start at 6 p.m. for the rest of the season.

Brian Mullen is the defending IMCA Modified champion and is looking for back to back wins as he won the Spring Thaw on a last lap pass.

Brandon Czarapata grabbed the Spring Thaw feature win in the IMCA Stockcars. Kyle Frederick will be returning to action and looking for his second championship after earning last years top honors.

Brad Theys took the top spot in the IMCA Northern Sportmod Spring Thaw but will have to contend with top gun Brad Lautenbach who is the returning champion.

As of now there will be a new Street Stock champion as Dan Gracyalny will be running a part-time schedule. Gary Kasperek and Jerry Winkler ran with Gracyalny for the championship last year.

Brian Johnson will be searching for his third straight 4 Cylinder championship.

Ticket Prices for the 2012 season are as follows: Adults $10.00, Seniors Citizens and Students $7.00 and 12 and under are free with a paid adult.
